Garbled highlighting...

Word x + update to 10.1.5 (Office x), Mac OS 10.2.8, iBook G3
800Mhz...

Please help someone!

When attempting to select/highlight text in a standard word doc, the
highlight becomes 'garbled' & plain text turns kind of bold!

Have clean reinstalled Office after deleted all prefs & associated
files....???

Any Ideas? Still onsite trying to sort the problem so any immediate
help would be handy ;o)

I would start by testing the Normal template and then the Word prefs. See

(Hit refresh a couple of times if you're using Safari; other browsers should
be okay.)
