Garbled text on Incoming e-mail

This problem occurred this morning, 5/5/10. I did not change any settings.
Certain of my incoming mail is garbled text. Some e-mails are not affected.
Often, only portions, generally the body text of the e-mails is garbled
text. I checked the e-mail servers separately on the internet by logging in
directly with the servers - Google mail and Comcast.net. These same e-mail
messages appeared fine, which leads me to conclude something might be wrong
with my Entourage program. Another clue ­ When back in Entourage, I hit
reply to an e-mail or when I tried to cut and paste as an example to show
here, the English language text appeared correctly. Please help.

Certain of my incoming mail is garbled text.

Quit Entourage. Delete these files in Users/[YourUserName]/Library/Caches.
Restart Entourage.

com.microsoft.browserfont.cache
tasmanbrowser.cache <---this is only for older versions of Office

If the above does not work, check for corrupt font caches. These can easily
be cleared from the system with Font Finagler. Download and run the
application. First click the "Inspect Font Cache Files" button, then the
"Clean Font Cache Files" button. You must then restart your Mac. Other
utilities that can clear your font caches are Cocktail, FontNuke and OnyX.
