Is there a a shareware program available that can generate Viso charts from
a GEDCOM file?

Hi Karen,

I personally don't know of any software that does this, but I wouldn't
stop looking.

If you're at all handy with Visual Basic programming, this article might
help you to understand how to programmatically control Visio:

Create Visio Flowcharts Programmatically

It might be possible to read the GEDCOM information and spit out a Visio
diagram automatically!

Karen,

I was about to ask the same question. Did you have any luck finding a
program to do this?

Family Tree Maker's tree-diagram/design function is awful. To create a
family tree worth printing, I would have to recreate the whole thing in
QuarkXPress or Visio.

I would love to know if you had any luck in your search.
