general communication issue

I've installed groove 2007 on two computers just for tryout. I can't make it
work. I created workspace on one computer and sent invitation. On the other
computer I received mail with grv attachment. After accepting the invitation
it isn't sent. Message says "Waiting to send acceptance".

Computers are not in any kind of network other than fact that they are
connected to internet.

Hi,

Check your firewall settings and/or antivirus software.
You will probably find the solution there.

Do you use NOD32 antivirus ? If so, configure NOD32 to make an
exception for Groove.exe and GrooveMonitor.exe

What I didn't tell you is that another message is displayed:
Cannot contact provisioning server

Can both your machines (accounts) see each other in their client workspace
or accounts screens ? can you send IM back & forth between the two?
your port settings and/or proxy settings may be blocked.
As Jan mentioned - also check your firewalls and AntiVirus exceptions list.

Hi,

We are getting closer to the solution now

The error message "Cannot contact provisioning server" means that Groove
2007 was installed without a provisioning server being specified.
The cause of this is probably the antivirus software NOD32.

You alraedy added the groove.exe and the groovemonitor.exe to the NOD32
IMON configuration module. That's OK.

However, it will not solve the problem for your CURRENT Groove account.

You will need to create a new Groove account instead.
With NOD32 being properly configured, your new Groove account should get
properly provisionned (correct public relay server DNS entry) and
therefore, it should work fine.

I do not have NOD32 anti virus on my machine. I have Symantac installed on
it. I creating the WorkSpace within my local enviornment & send the
invitation but unfortunately keep on getting this error. How do I encounter
this issue?
