General Protection Fault in Excel???

Excel caused a general protection fault in module USER.EXE
at 0006:000016Sb. Anyone have any suggestions?

User is a major component of Windows. Excel is apparently provoking it.
Try the startup problem fixes at
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/StartupErrors.htm

Try removing and reinstalling Excel.

Check the knowledge base at www.microsoft.com.

If you can't find an Excel fix, look for a Windows fix; it might be a
Windows problem, not an Excel problem
