general protection fault

thanx up front if anyone can help me i keep getting a
general protection fault then my machine crashes

the fault is

winword caused an invalid page fault in module op5c.drv
at 005:0000111d

Microsoft KB article 168198. Gives all the genereal prtection faults with
respect to all versions of word.
