What I need, I have to run a report and lots of time users (this is on our
network) will leave and not close out of excel. When the report is run
mostly at night, this will not run because it is still open on someones
computer. I just wanted a way that when this reports runs and excel is open
it will close so the report can run.

That could be a bad idea. Sometimes we are called away from our computers

The domain controller can have specific allowed login times for each user,
which will shut down the computer.

Hi Pammy,

Office itself doesn't have that built in. It is a feature of a 'thin client' type of installation, such as Microsoft Terminal
Services or Citrix Metaframe, which will pretty much hibernate the session or save and close the documents.

There are 3rd party utilities that can set to do this as well, or you can use a screen saver with a password set to blank your
screen after a certain interval if your concern is with others accessing your work while you're away.
