General Trouble with access2000

Hi, all :)

I have recently installed access 2000 on my pc(win98SE)
and i have nothing but trouble.

First of all, i got some silly message after the installation that some
sort of conflict wizard.exe was not able to be registred or something
like that(pardon my vague expressions, but i am from the netherlands,
and englisgh isn't my native language)

I ignored the message cause i did not know to handle it anyway.
Office 2000 ran as normal, but:

When i click past that everything seems to work as normal.

In access 2000 however it starts to annoy me :(

I imported a access97 mdb file, all went well (at least i thought so)
i cant edit forms, reports, i cant even create new reports or forms.
when i try to edit a report or form it gives me a font initialisation
error.
WTF is a font initialisation error ?
how can i fix this ? and can it be fixed on a win98se installation?
(i have 512 mb ram)

ACCESS 2000 also freezes sometimes
sometimes i also get this one:

the system is out of resources or memory

it tells me to consult the helpfile (but that does no good either)

when i check i still have 45% left of 512 mb: that should be more then
enough not?

it goes as far that i have to press ctrl alt del and remove the program
form its memory by selecting it from the close program dialog

with access97 i never had any problem, i didnot even had to install any
patches, cause it worked verywell.
(i had to install access 2000 because a lot of people arent able to use
my database i wrote in access97)

i also get the message that the installer is configurating everytime
when i open word. excell. access. outlook or any other office program
this is also getting on my nerves.

so please help me :)

do i need a patch? is there still a patch for this?(Gates is promoting
his latest access and office, so i wonder if there is still a patch
available for this)

attached is a picture showing the dialog boxes

I have seen this only when A2000 was installed with, or on top of a
prior version of Access. Our techs here have gotten around it by
unisntalling all version of office, and reinstalling the newest
version. If A97 still needs to be installed after that, you can
reinstall A97 after the newest version install. I am not much more help
other than that.
