Generate Organization Chart From VBA

Hello everyone,

I am trying to make a macro to generate an organization chart from
Excel/Access data.

As of now I am able to import Excel data and create an organization
heirarchy chart (Data->Insert Data Solutions), but is there a way that VBA in
Visio can let me do this automated?

I tried using the "Record New Macro" feature but it doesn't seem to record
anything when I click on "Data->Insert Data Solutions->Organization Chart."

A couple of things,

a.) the non-capture of how the datarecordsets work is by design...

b.) David Parker did a great article on his blog about something similar to
what you're asking
