Generating Demand by Skill Set

MSop2007, SP1, Dec Update
I am attempting to create a report projecting demand by skill set. The
original skill set created allowed multiple entries which blocked it from the
Cube, so I created another Custom field with a look up table and id not allow
multiple entries. Then filled it in for each resource. Ran the cube and
attempted to build a Data Anal report showing Work and Capacity. However when
I drag the Skill Set field onto the Pivot Table it supresses the Work values
and shows a blank value for each skill set except for the Grand Total.
Capacity values remains untouched. Drag the Skill Set off and drag the
Resource list onto the Table and Work appears. Drag the Skill Set onto any
portion of the Table and Work disappears.
Published a test project, reran the cube but no effect on the symptoms. I
have not deleted the original fields as I don't believe it is affecting the
symptoms and they are being used by PMs.
Anybody got any ideas? I would think this would be a straight forward report
but 2007 continues to perplex.

Seems to me I recall a problem like this early in the product lifecycle. Is
your system updated to SP2 and April CU?
