Generating Excel reports from a Master Project

I am using Microsoft Project Professional 2007. I opened a Master schedule
(contains 10 small sub-projects) and tried to run the "Baseline Work Report".
Microsoft Project Professional 2007 crashed on me. This happened 3 times.

Then I opened one of the sub-projects by itself and tried to run the same
report. This time it worked.

Does MSP Pro2007 not allow you to run reports from a Master?

I am also connected to Project Server 2007, but made sure to check-in my
project(s) and clear my cache before each attempt.

Thanks for any help and/or insight.
