Generic Resources - saving actuals

V

Vaughn Fox

I've got Project Managers who are entering time against a generic resource.
When the project gets published to the server the time entered gets blown
away when the PM accepts the prompt to synchronize actuals. Is this
behaviour correct?

Thanks

Yes, the behavior is correct. If you are using Managed Time Periods feature
of Project Server, the system prevents project managers from entering
actuals in the Microsoft Project plan. That is why the time entered gets
"blown away" when you synchronize actuals. The Managed Time Periods feature
assumes that all actuals will be entered in PWA. Hope this helps.
