Geniune microsoft advantage

This message appeared on my laptop to download update if you are using
geniune softwares. I decline, and I got a reply, we will uninstall all
updates. The next thing is my office 2003 for excel & words etc was wipe off
fr my laptop.
I am using orginal softwares installed upon my purchase, now how do I
reintall it.

Reinstall from the discs you received with the computer. If you don't have
any, contact the vendor from where you purchased the computer.

They can do that? I declined it the first time, because I didn't have time
to babysit the upgrade process, but I let it install the second time. I
didn't see anything like that, wiping applications off the computer!

Err no. Declining Windows Genuine Advantage does NOT remove any installed
Office software. Something else happened.

Thank you, I am using computr overseas with this laptop, that is the reason I
am having had time. I can install open org office, but why should I since I
paid for microsoft orginal.
