German error messages even though Office & OS English

Have an issue on XP Workstation, set to English US,
latest patch level, using Office XP, latest patch level,
I get German error messages even though Office & OS are
English US.
Used the Language Tool to change Office language to
English US.
Is there a DLL that needs changing?
