get "a program is trying to access email address/contact list "

after performinf a send receive i get an info box saying a pgm is trying to
access mt email addresses or contact list. if this is unexpected you can
deny access or allow it for so many minutes. How can i find out what's
causing this?

The message I get is:

A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook.
Do you want to allow this?

If this is unexpected, it may be a virus and you should choose “Noâ€.

Then there’s a “check box†:

Allow access for:

1 minute
2 minutes
5 minutes
10 minutes

Yes No Help

I get the message frequently, esp when I use ActiveSync ... it seems like
it's related to a "security" option that perhaps I didn't select properly,
but haven't been able to figure out how to correct it ... perhaps it's the
same issue

Sounds like you need to update your copy of ActiveSync to the latest
version.
