get error message when I insert QuickTime movie in PowerPoint

get error message when I insert QuickTime movie in PowerPoint saying Quick
Time not installed properly. It IS installed properly and works fine in other
applications, as does the file in question whwn I click on it

QuickTime is an Apple product (competition) and is not supported in the
Windows version of PowerPoint.
