get 'need groove config code to create account on this device' err

On the home notebook (Vista, Office 2007) I previously used groove account
supplied by our company IT administrator. However, I removed the groove
totally through control panel from my home notebook. I downloaded and
installed free 60-day trial version of the groove on this notebook. In trying
to setup a groove account I chose the option "I dont have a Groove Account
Configuration Code". However, the following error message appeared: 'You need
a Groove Account Configuration Code to create an account on this device.' It
does not allow me to create a groove account. I will appreciate any help to
resolve this issue. Thanks

Hi Atlantans,

Uninstalling Groove did probably not remove the Groove ManagementDomain
information from your Windows' registry.
As a result, your PC is still being considered as a managed device.
Hence, the Groove domain device policies still apply.

You will need to (manually) clean your registry to remove traces of the
Groove "ManagementDomain".

Hope this helps :)
