Get Rid of "E-Mail" Suffix???

I use Outlook 2000 SR-1. My hard drive crashed and I'm reinstalling
EVERYTHING.

I notice that my Outlook address book now has all my contacts names
with "(e-mail)" following. Is there a fix for this??

Thanks!

The (email) designation following the address can not be removed through any
of the menu or options screens. There are alternatives however...

1. Go to contact folder. Choose contact by right clicking and select "New
message to Contact."
3. Modify the resources of the contab32.dll file. See:

I'd prefer to use the contab32.dll.
I just updated to SP-3, and the .dll file addition doesn't seem to
work.
Any thoughts?

None.
Sorry.
I'll ask Vince. He's the perpetrator of this hack.
Sox fan? Does that mean you heart was broken again, too?

If someone could mail me the new ContAB32.DLL I'll see what I can do

Not I I'm afraid. The only installation of 2000/SP3 I have is IMO.

I was hoping the person asking might have it :)

It's been a while since I bit-twiddled a DLL like that but I think I can
still do it...

So was I. I was just explaining why I couldn't send you one. I've not even
found evidence that the contab32.dll was changed by SP3.
