Get rid of extend.dat issue in Outlook?

When I open Outlook I get a message that says that it cannot access the
extend.dat. I found other posts, and they suggest deleting or renaming the
file, but I get Access Denied message. What can I do?

Logon to your PC with an account that has Admin privileges, or loggon using
the Administer account
