Get rid of Open Option in File menu

Okay, this is using the Excel, Word and Power Point viewers. We have a DB
that, at times, our clients need to view documents in thier native format.
We provide the viewers for them to do so. We have everything clamped down
pretty tight, BUT if somone opens a document in these viewers, once they are
in Office, they simply have to go to File>Open and they can view all the
files on those drives (they may not be able to actually open them due to
security, but they can see them and we do not want that.
Here is the question - Is there a (non macro) way to eliminate the Open
option in these three programs? Thanks,

Unfortunately no. And even if there were a macro method this too could
be easily by-passed.

If it is security you need then network security and file level
security is your best bet.

While the OP could remove "Open" from the "File" menu, "CTRL+O" would
still get them in.
