getpivotdata

In Excel 2003, you refer to a cell on a pivot table it
defaults to a "getpivotdata" formula and as an absolute
cell reference. As a result you cannot copy a formula
containing that cell where you want to formula to refer
to the next cell in the pivot table range.

Has anyone run into this issue? Any workaround?

Thanks

View / Toolbars / Pivot table / Square icon with small square in top left corner
and diagonal arrow from bottom right. Click it and it will turn off the
generate pivotdata feature.

Yes, I have. I usually copy and paste special values
right next to the pivot table - then continue building
your formulas based on those numbers.

Or otherwise, you can take the constants ( the $ signs
out )

Good luck
