getpivotdata

How do I turn off the getpivotdata feature? I do not want
to use it in my formulas that reference a pivot table.

Hi
don't think you can turn this of. Simply enter the cell reference
manually (without using the mouse to select the cell)

View / Toolbars / PivotTable Toolbar - Look for square icon with a smaller
square in top left corner - Hit it to toggle the feature on/off

In Excel 2002 and up, you can add a toolbar button to toggle whether they're generated.

If you go to Tools / Customize, look on the Commands tab for "Generate GetPivotData" near the bottom of the Data section. Drag the icon to
an existing toolbar - the pivot toolbar is a good choice.
