getting a bill of material in Excel from Visio 2003

Hello,

I do a lot of netowrk designs for my customers and have to manually
enter all products needed into an Excel spreadsheet for the bill of
material. Is there a way to have Visio give me a BOM into Excel from
the designs I draw?

BM,

Have a look at Tools > Reports.

It's kind of a two-step process. First, you define the report. That
definition can be saved in the Visio file, or as a separate
report-definition file. Then, you run the report. You can choose Excel as
the output, which is pretty darn cool!
