getting a file permission error when trying to save a word docume

I was getting a "file permission error" when trying to save a word document.
Ended up purchasing a new version of Microsoft Word (Office 2003) and am now
getting the same error message.

I am getting the same error in my Word 2002. I am not trying to save to a
floppy or other Media, just trying to save to Drive C hard drive. I am
losing documents right and left. I bought a new hard drive, etc. This is a
serious problem. PLEASE HELP ME. I AM DESPARATE.
