Getting a frame working

Nottnick

I am using FP 2002.
Producing a school web page.
On the index page I put updated information in a section of a normal frame.
This sometimes contains links to other pages.
I'd like to keep all the info there as a record but it is getting VERY
lengthy.
What I'd like is the ability to scroll down in that part of the frame.
However, if I use a front page template, the new pages open in that frame. I
want the link to open in a new page, not the frame.
You'll see what I mean - it's the 'Stop Press' section at
www.willowfarm.notts.sch.uk .
I'd like the info to scroll in a section of the frame with links opening a
new page.

Does this make sense?

If so, is there anyone out there who can suggest how?
I am not very good at HTML, so would need guidance on how to insert at the
right place (or is there a template?)

Help really appreciated.

Thanks

Right click on the link.
Click on "hyperlink properties"
On the right of the hyperlink dialog box is a button labelled [Target Frame]
Click on that, and under "Common Targets" select "New Window"
Save the page.

Now, wherever it is on your frame, the link will open its page in a new
window.

Design note: You ought to provide navigation options on any page that opens
in a new window. At the least, provide a link to your home page.

Good luck.
