Getting .dbx files into Outlook 2007

Old LAptop died, was using Outlook Express. Hard drive recovered enough and
recovery guys got all my old email files and email folders and they are
stored as .dbx files. However they just put them on the hard drive of the
new laptop, NOT in the Outlook 2007. I need a way to import or put these
..dbx files into Outlook 2007. The Import / Export in 2007 isn't working
ebcause it isn't in a version of Express it is just the files.

How do I get these files into my new Outlook 2007.

Thanks!

Assuming you are using XP, (which you didn't say), import the dbx files into
Outlook Express. If Vista, import into Windows Mail. When that's completed,
export the data to Outlook.

First, configure Outlook Express to use those DBX files. Then export the
messages to Outlook with OE's FIle>Export>Messages. Outlook cannot access
DBX files in any way.

For that both OE and OL need to be installed however such cannot
be the case in Vista.

1. Back-up and import the data into Windows Mail first; see
http://www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx

2. Then /export/ the data *from* Windows Mail to Outlook. Do NOT import the
Windows Mail data *into* Outlook!

In case of .dbx file corruption , Their is a third party outlook express
recovery software: http://www.outlookexpress-recovery.com
to repairs & recovers corrupted, damaged Outlook Express .mbx & .dbx files
& restores folders, emails, addresses, attachments etc.

Let me add one more thing:

Outlook Express Recovery is a powerful DBX repair tool that repairs any DBX
folder, created with Outlook Express 5/6. Built with highly graphical and
interactive user-interface, the DBX repair application recovers folders with
*.dbx and *.eml extensions. Where files with .eml extensions can be directly
viewed, the files with .dbx extension need to be imported in Outlook Express.
