Getting Equation Editor with Windows Vista

Megan R.

I am trying to get the Equation Editor on Word and Excel but Windows Vista
doesn't have an Add/Remove Programs option in the Control Panel. What should
I do? I have to have this feature to complete assignments and tests for one
of my college classes. Please reply ASAP.

Hi Megan,

To add, remove or modify the programs installed on your computer running
Microsoft Windows Vista, please go to start and type in Programs and
Features. This is the equivalent of Add/Remove Programs in earlier versions
of Microsoft Windows.

Great! Thanks for the help. What do I do next to get Equation Editor on
Word and Excel? I still can't figure that out.

The Equation Editor isn't part of Windows Vista, it's part of Office. If you
are referring to Office 2007, then in either Word or Excel, on the Insert
Tab click Object. Then select Equation Editor in the list.

Additionally, if you are using Word 2007, have you taken a look at the new
Equation Builder? It's on the Insert tab and it's FAR easier than using the
Equation Builder.

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.

Megan,

If you are using Microsoft Word 2007, please see Beth's reply below :). And
I do agree that the equation builder is far more easier than the equation
editor.
