Getting error when publishing

Hi,

This is normally caused because the web has grown to large. Check with your
ISP / WPP for assistance.

This is exactly my problem. I have 300 pages and several thousand images.
And my site is going to get larger. The ISP says that after FP publishes,
the updating portion on the server (during which FP on your desktop doesn't
need to communicate) runs for longer than the 20 minute "server timeout"
parameter. The same thing happens when I use recalculating links -- the
server times out and I get the :"server not available on port 80" error
message.

I'm working with the ISP now to resolve this. The ISP claims I should just
ignore the error because once publishing is complete, the update or recalc
runs to completion. But how do I know there isn't an error?

Cheers,

If you host supports FP subwebs, then move your several thousand images to
the subweb, then use FTP to manage them and do not open the subweb in FP.
This will/should eliminate your time-out problem.

However keep all images used as part of the site design, within the root web
with your pages.
