getting Exchange fields from public contacts folder

I'm trying to get information from the public contacts folder. This is based
on the current logged in user. With VBA, I can allready read the current
logged in user information. However, the contacts folder on our Exchange
server is more extensive and more up to date.
I want to connect to the public contacts folder, match the current logged in
user to the contact in the folder, and from there place email address,
phonenumber and departement information in DocumentVariables. I know how to
place info into the Variables, I got the CurrentUser, but I can't seem to
connect to the public folder.

Can someone please get me started???
