Getting "Issues" and "Risks" to show on Home Page

I have been trying to get "Issues" and "Risks" to show on a person's home
page, and the only way I have been successful is if I put them in the
resource pool for the project and actually assign them a task. I would
prefer not to have to give a person an assignment on a task in order for them
to have an "Issue" or "Risk" show on their home page.

Has anyone had success with having "Issues" and "Risks" show on a person's
Home Page without actually assigning the person to at least one task in the
project plan?

(I was hoping I could create an "Issue" or "Risk" an assign it to someone
who was not assigned any tasks on the project. For example, creating an
"Issue" that you want to escalate to upper management.)

Any comments or experience that you can share on this will be greatly
appreciated?

have you gone to the admin screen into the "manage windows sharepoint
services" Select "Manage Sharepoint Sites" and highlight your project site
and select synchronize to synchronize your site? This might help...

The other issue is, if someone is assigned to a risk or an issue, it should
show up on their home page automatically. if not let me know.

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my question.

Since I am the admin for Project Server, I can try your suggestion of
"synchronize your site"; however, I am hoping that it will not be necessary
to do that for every project that wants to use the sharepoint team services
for issues and risks.

With respect to your last comment, the issues and risks are not
automatically showing up on people's home page unless they open the issue or
risk and assigned it to themselve.

You should assign the ability to view those items on the home page through
the admin area where you assign your user's permissions. But do it at the
group level so everyone within the specific group gets the same rights. there
are several options you can configure as well within the home page format
area...get to that via pwa under the admin tab.
