Getting mail to send in Entourage

Version: 2008 Email Client: pop Hi I am new to Mac, I have a 13" Macbook Pro bought a few weeks ago.
Im not sure what my problem is but I can receive all my mail ok but can not send any... When I use Mail it all works fine and I have typed the same outgoing details in the field. and I have chosen Entourage as the main email program. Am I missing something.... Thanks

It means that your SMTP server is not properly configured.

When I use Mail it all works fine and I have typed the same outgoing
details in the field. and I have chosen Entourage as the main email

You must have missed one setting for the SMTP server. Double-check
everything, including the advanced options.
