getting messages from Outlook 6 to Entourage 2008

Just got a new macbook. picked up Office 2008. wanted to move all my messages from my PC using Outlook 6 to my mac now using Entourage as my email software.

I've seen all sorts of solutions on this, but am still having some difficulty.

I attempted the installation and transfer of messages to Thunderbird from Outlook 6. I located the appropriate inbox file, attached .mbox suffix and then attempted to import that into Entourage. Unfortunately, the file is greyed out.

Does anyone have a solution for this migration?

In all honesty, the easiest solution is to get an IMAP account.

If your ISP doesn't support IMAP (shame on them), try this option
for .MBOX files.

If you've already tried this option, then try dragging the mbox file
to your folder list in Entourage.
