getting number in the format of 1.731578E+37

Hi,
when data is exporting from Siebel application, one of the field in Excel
Sheet
which is supposed to be a 8 or 12 digit number showing in the format of
1.731578E+37

What could be the reason ...and resolution for this?
Please help!
