Getting rid of corner identifyers

When I load up office xp word, there are arrow shaped things at each corner
which identify where the margin is. They just appeared recently and I don't
know what I did to get them but is there a way of turning them off?

These are a result of an East Asian Language enabled on your computer.

START>All Programs>Microsoft Office>Microsoft Office Tools>Microsoft Office
XP Language Settings and disable any east asian languages.
