Brad --
The concepts you learned about configuring Project Server 2003 certainly
apply to Project Server 2007, but setting up the system in 2007 is VERY
different. For example, in 2003 you create all resources in the Enterprise
Resource Pool and enter all information about them there. In 2007, you
still create the resources in the Enterprise Resource Pool and configure
SOME information there, but then you must also configure additional
information about all resources using the Resource Center page. From the
Resource Center page, you MUST enter a Timesheet Manager value and a Default
Assignment Owner value for EVERY resource, otherwise your setup is not
complete. Also, there are a number of new permissions of which you need to
be aware, and many new ways to configure things, like building the 14 OLAP
cubes, configuring Timesheet settings, and configuring backups of individual
entities such as projects. You will be pleased to know that we are getting
very close to completing our Project Server 2007 book for administrators.
Regarding an e-mail list, if you buy the book from our Project Server Books
web site, you are already on the e-mai list. To make sure, however, I will
forward our e-mail address to our marketing department. Thanks for buying
our first book!

Hope this helps.
