Getting started.

I've just had MSP 2003 installed on my PC, and MSP Server 2003 on a server -
ican connect to the server ok, via IE & MSP.
The problem I get is where to start - I am the admin user with Admin User
rights - when I try to 'publish' from MSP2003 it tells me the plan I Have is
a nin-enterprise version - I don't want to work non-enterprise so where do I
start ?

I was hoping to see a 'create project' menu or icon but can't see any.

Is there a 'map' of what to do first ?
i.e. -1. add all users, 2. add resources to resource pool 3, create project ?

I'm sure there's a simple answer to the question - it's just tha I don't
knowit !!!

You have not set up Microsoft Project Professional before creating your
project. Before you go any further, do the following:

1. Launch Microsoft Project Professional
2. Click Tools - Enterprise Options - Microsoft Office Project Server
Accounts
3. Click the Add button
4. Enter an Account Name and URL for your Project Server instance
5. Click the Test Connection button to ensure a valid connection
6. Select the Set as default account option and click the OK button
7. Select the Manually control connection state option
8. Click OK
9. Close and relaunch Microsoft Project Professional
10. Click the Connect button

Once you have completed the above steps, you are now working in the
enterprise environment with Project Server through Microsoft Project
Professional. Next, you will need to import your existing project into the
Project Server database by clicking Tools - Enterprise Options - Import
Project to Enterprise. DO NOT simply open the .mpp file and do File - Save
As. The correct process is to import the non-enterprise project you
initially created.

If you are looking for a map on how to configure and use Project Server 2003
correctly, please click the URL in my signature block and purchase the two
books we have written on this subject. It will be money well spent, both in
the knowledge gained and the frustration avoided. Hope this helps.
