getting web design on the web

I am a novice and am getting frustraed.Please help me to
get my web site up & running.
Please explain how you publish to a web site with
Microsoft Publisher. Everything I read always talks
about Front Page.
I cannot figure out how to publish, using FTP. Please
advise---I have a domain name, a website ready to go, &
info ready to go on the web. I just can't get it
running. Thanks
