Ghost files

I have a user that saved a scheudle to the web. Everthing has worked great
for that user for quite some time. All of a sudden, there are two files,
with exactly the same name, in the server. One of the files correctly
contains the schedule file data, but the ghost file has no tasks in it.
Somehow, the server created a "Ghost" file by the same name as the original
MSP file.

Does anyone know what causes this behavior?

Check to see if the user did the following:

Saved published the project as per normal.

Then at some point (while logged into the server) chose
to 'save as' a non .msp format (eg excel, html export).

Doing this causes the database to create another entry in
the master table. Deleting one of the projects (even if
you think you have found the erroneous one)will cause
both the correct and incorrect entries tobe deleted.

Microsoft has listed this is as a known issue and has a
hotfix for it. The fix will not rectify the current
database error but will stop if occuring again.

Hope this helps (sorry dont have the KB link handy)

It would be very helpful to have the link for the hotfix. Wandering around
the microsoft site can take days.
