Ghost Mail?

Every time I run Outlook, it reports
"sending message 1 of 1"
this, when there is no mail in the queue and the outbox
is empty.

Do I have a virus? Does anyone know what is happening
here?

Mine does this too--in my case it is a test email being sent by bellsouth to check its server I think for my ASDL connection.
