Ghost print characters in word

Dennis

I had an old document that was originally a Word Perfect Document. I edited
it and created a new document with two columns. For some reason I am getting
ghost characters on the document and even upon retyping the section, the
ghost characters remain. The nearest think I can guess is that there maybe
some remanent formating characters from the original word perfect document.
Could this be and how can I get rid of them?

It would be best to post the question in a Word newsgroup. This newsgroup is
for Microsoft Access, a relational database program.
