I've been having this problem for a long time, and it only seems to happen with the larger Word documents I work with.
I am currently using Excel to create charts (because I like the flexibility with the formatting), and then pasting these charts into a Word document. However, after saving the document a few times, big red X's show up where my charts should be, and frankly, I'm getting a little tired of it, because I have to copy and paste the charts from Excel into Word over and over.
I'm using Office 2002, and I'm an advanced user. When I paste the charts into Word, I format the chart (which is now a picture) so that it sits in front of the text, so I can position it exactly where I want it. Maybe this is the problem?
Any suggestions you have would be great!
