Giant tri-fold

How do I make a giant tri-fold? It must be the size of three 8.5X11 sheets
put together. When you open it wide, it will be 25.5 inches wide and 11
inches high.

The first thing is that you will need a printer driver that can handle that
size paper. (Even if you don't literally have a printer that will do so.)

After that, set up a custom size document to suit.

What version Publisher are you using?
In Publisher 2007, page setup, click advanced on the left and use a larger size
than you need. That way you would have an overlap to tape/glue. Be certain to
use portrait orientation.

In earlier versions use the poster setup with your measurements.

As JoAnn says ideally you would need a printer capable of printing a continuous
banner. You can create a custom size in Acrobat, save as a PDF and then take the
result to a commercial printer.

How are you going to print this? If you're just going to print three
sheets of letter paper and stick them together, then it'd be easier to
just design the panels on separate pages. If you had the right page
order, Print Preview could show you what they looked like side-by-side
(although the order would have to be shuffled for printing, unless you
were manually duplexing).
