GIF performance sluggish in powerpoint slideshow

B

Bob K

I have put animated GIF's in my powerpoint presentation. They run sluggish
when I run the slideshow (which is only 1 slide). Heres the unusual thing, if
I minimize the powerpoint window only slightly while it's running (with the
middle windows icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen), the
animation speed of the GIF's run just fine, besides that, they continue to
run fine if I then maximize the screen to its original size after doing this.
What is the problem, and how do I make the GIFs run at full speed during
initial viewing of the slideshow?

Another note, this slideshow runs just fine in an older powerpoint version,
but when I put it into Powerpoint 2002, the problem arises. I upgraded to
Powerpoint 2002 on the computer that I created the slideshow on, so I know
it's not the computer, because it happens on more than one computer

Please help,

Thanks in advance
Bob K
