Glitch in Word

I am having a problem with Word that just started. As soon
as you begin typing in any new document, the line where
the text should be goes black all the way across the
page.If you continue typing to the end of the line and
wrap to the next line the same situation. You cannot see
anything you are typing. I have run the repair service,
reinstalled, uninstalled and reinstalled all with the same
situation arising.

Please help.

Look at the Borders and Shadings of Normal style - sounds like some joker
might have given you a black paragraph background?
