Global asa file

I have been getting the error message "Frontpage was unable to write the configuration file for database connections (globas.asa)" when I attempted to modify. I then added a new DB and tried to establish a connection and got the same error message. All was working fine just a few days ago.

Using FP 2003 piblishing to Windows 2003 Server. I deleted the Global file but I could not get to the point it would recreate it so I restored the origina

HELP!!!!

No. I was working with my local copy. Of the three databases I have, 2 stopped working and the other one still works on the server. When I try to update the Results APSX file it will not accept the field changes. When you click Finish it just sits there and no updates are made. Going to the form properties and changing the fields to be saved does not get accepted. I have gone to the Tools menu and deleted the database connections and tried to recreate them with no success. I get the cannot write to configuration file error. It is like some permission has been removed but I cannot pinpoint the problem.

I even created a new database and got the same error when trying to create the database connection.

Been after this for about a full day now with no success. Worked at one time.

In case anyone runs across this problem, I corrected it defragmenting my disk. Strange, but when it was done everything worked as it should. No more errors from not being able to write to the configuration file for database connections - Global.asa
