Global Chgs to Normal.Doc Template Stuck

I downloaded MS's "Remove Hidden Data" and now everytime I
close MS Word XP I always get the mssg "Chgs have been
made to Normal.Doc Template - Save?" I have said Yes, No,
unloaded and reloaded the download, all to no avail. This
includes when I close Outlook which uses Word. Appreciate
any suggestions!! Thank you!

hello,

Try renaming the Normal.dot file by making a search for
the same and rename it to a new file name without giving
any extension like .dot and restart Word.

I'm sorry, I don't understand your answer.

We're having the same issue, and if you're suggesting that we recreate the
normal.dot, then we've tried doing that.

I think ours too may have started with the installation of the RHD tool, am
not sure about that (but am sure we're asked every time we exit Word now!!!)

fyi, it turns out if I uninstall the "remove hidden data" tool from MS then
the prompting problem goes away.

Hi, I went ahead and re-removed Hidden Data Tool which did
eliminate the global chgs/normal prompt. This seems like
a flaw with the HDT that Microsoft needs to resolve as I
(and many others) would like to have the HDT.
Another suggested fix - disabling Office plug-in in Norton
Anti-Vir did not correct.
