Global.mpt

Can someone tell me what are the "Default" modules that microsoft
establishes. Tools-organizer-modules?

I am getting an error message when I open a file. The file doesn't contain
any modules. I would like to restore my modules for global.mpt and see if I
can correct the error.

Thanks,

What does the error message say?

Hi Jack,

Thanks for your quick response.

I just realized I didn't specify that I am using MSOP 2007.

The message says:

Microsoft Visual Basic
File Not Found

When I click on help it says File not found (Error 53)

If I tell it OK the file opens. This same error is also displayed when I
close the file.

That "file not found" issue is typically caused by a corrupted VBA stream
within the project file. It can usually be fixed by saving the project as an
XML file and then reopening in Project. This seems to rebuild the binary file
and fix the corruption. If it does not work, try copying and pasting the
tasks into a new file.

It is an annoying problem isn't it?

Hi Jack,

I am also getting this problem on several files. Every time I try t
run a macro I need several attempts to get past these error messages.
tried the solution you mention above, and it gets over the problem, bu
I noticed that the finish dates of several tasks have changed, and als
some earned value calculations have changed on several tasks. An
suggestions to avoid this?

I have a question regarding Pointing Multiple Global.mpt files:

"what is the process to use a global.mpt file that someone has given yo
on a thumb drive without replacing the default global project store
in the 1033 directory?
