run
set up and it seems to stall at the "writing registry ....". I have

retain
my
current files (if possible). Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your suggestion! Oops, I did all that, but I forgot to back up
my
files, oh well, but it still stalls out at the "writing regristry ....".
This would lead me to believe it's not a problem with my computer, but
with
the disk, right? I'm so frustrated, I was hoping to spend today working
on
my research paper rather than installing this program.

RE: Office Profession Ed 2003 (Home Use)

I woke this morning to a message that my free trial expired. I thought
I
had been using the edition I purchased and installed. I am now locked
out
of
my college papers and research materials. I have attempted many times
to
run
set up and it seems to stall at the "writing registry ....". I have
tried
everything I know and really need some help to get my Office Profession
Ed
2003 (Home Use) loaded and running, but I also need to be able to
retain
my
current files (if possible). Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks JoAnn for your help though. I appreciate your time! I believe I may
have figured it out. The error message (1406) provides results when searched
but it is pretty complex. It seems to be a known issue. I've followed the
steps up til 7-b. I don't know what the Instance Component Set.# is.

Here are the instructions I've found to correct the problem.
