Going from Office 2003 to OfficeXP--or 2007?

I am totally frustrated with the Help function in 2003, both Word and
Excel, as I
have no change of finding what I need in any reasonable amount of
time.

Is there any improvement in 2007, or should I go back to Office XP
(2002,
if it exists and is different).

Thanks for advice--

If you use Outlook and reinstall Office XP you wont be able to view any of
your historic email as Office 2003 PST files cannot be opened by Office
XP/2002 Outlook.

What's the problem with help? Maybe you should search the help for 'help'
this may give you an idea of how best to use the Office 2003 Help feature, I
believe the change is simply from searching for the exact words to searching
for articles that are contextually related, it seems to work this way, I
could eb wrong though.

Xanna -

What were you looking for help on specifically? If you are interested in a
Microsoft Office 2007 Quick Start Card to highlight the new features and
functionality in 2007 you can visithttp://www.brainstorminc.com/microsoft-training/microsoft-office-2007...

The absence of an index to help was seen as a major problem
with 2003, and apparently it's the same in 2007. It is going
backwards dramatically in function and the ability to learn from
Help what you don't already know. In fact using Help extensively
is unusual, so I'm just unusual; the alternative is a book or
books, which I've also used, but found I no longer needed with
the (now obsolete) Help index. Oh well.

So Help-Show Table of Contents is not an index then?
