Got the underline, what not linking?

Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Have email with unline, click on it nothing happens? should bring up my email app ready to roll. why isn't it? thanks!

Workaround:
Copying the url and pasting into browser.
anyone out there?
Is this common issue. live links don't work?

Is the cell content *blue* as well as being underlined? If not, it probably
was pasted as text or the hyperlink property has been removed.
